about

Another lockdown folly. To stave off the demon of inactivity and all the disastrous imps she doth bring. A real exercise in how to capture the essence of a pre-existing tune whilst simultaneously added ones own particular bent. The three songs chosen were not sought after deliberately, rather, I added a fairly unspecific search into YouTube for isolated drum tracks and was subsequently rewarded with a great Harrison offer from Let it Be/Get Back; a favourite song from possibly my favourite Who record in Going Mobile from Who's Next; and lastly, a studio outtake of Bonham from 1977 having a wee fiddle, with a little organ in the background. Words and music to that (In the Garden of Eden) were composed by myself, and named for a Page aficionado and teacher. In the words, i hoped to capture some of the mysticism of Page and in the music the interwoven feeling of Zeppelin records.
